A NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER
I kind of just fell into Bridal, but it was great because I loved working with pretty things. I quickly developed a passion for bridal life and have continued to love it over the years
Women would come into my shop with dresses they love, but they don’t love how they feel in them. After I do my work their perception changes. It is an amazing feeling to watch as they see themselves for the first time in a dress, that shows off their best self. They’re able to truly see the beautiful women that I believe God created them to be. Their eyes light up with the realization of how gorgeous they are going to look on their wedding day. It’s not anything that I’ve done to change their body shape or to change their face, but to enhance what they have been given. This is the why.
This is why I work with wedding dresses, because it is SO rewarding. We love being part of the Bride’s story at Kendra J Bridal. We hear about their wedding planning adventures and the things that are going on with their personal lives. We get to really know the bride. For me my business gets really personal. I love God and God loves people and he has truly changed my heart through my business to love people more and more. As an introvert I never thought that I would be in a customer service business, but it has really changed my heart to love on my community and the people around me, my Brides. I have been blessed to pray for these women after they leave my shop. I pray that their wedding day will be amazing, that they will feel beautiful, that things will go smoothly, for their health, and for their families. Kendra J Bridal may change how women feel about each other on one day a year, but God has used these women to change my heart for a lifetime. Each day I hope to show His love more and more to the people around me.

A little bit about Kendra
I grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where I was always making something new. At an early age I had learned the needle arts and had begun making things for myself, my dolls, my family, and my friends. There was a time that if I came to school with something new and different, my friends would ask me if I made it. Most of the time the answer was yes!
My friends and my family encouraged my passion for creating, and so I went to Iowa State where I received my bachelors in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production. After meeting my husband, settling down in North Kansas City, and after trying out the corporate world I decided to start my own business. I now have one fur baby and three children that inspire me daily. Kendra J Bridal continues to grow as I enjoy every new project.
