Custom Dress Process
Sometimes the store just doesn’t have the dress you envisioned and you don’t want to settle. Have your dress custom made- anything is possible!
Find inspiration for your garment- please note no dress will be copied exactly to preserve designer integrity. Decide what elements you like and take notes or Pinterest your ideas. Please note that at least two months is required to make a garment.
Set up a consultation appointment. In this appointment your garment will be sketched out, fabrics decided, and price given. If you know what kind of fabric or color you are wanting please give us advanced notice and we can find swatches for you to approve during your first consultation. If not that is okay, we have a stash of fabric. A payment of half will be due before any work can begin. Your following appointments will be scheduled at this time. If you are not having fittings, but having your garment shipped to your location, a discount will be given for the alterations you may have to have done by another alterations specialist. Typically a custom wedding dress starts at $2000 and averages around $2500 with alterations included
Show up for your appointment on time with your shoes, dress, and undergarments. If you are going to be late or have a last minute conflict and need to reschedule, please give us a call. We will try to fit you in at our next available appointment. Appointments should take 1 hour.
Multiple appointments may be needed to ensure correct fit, but most custom garments take one appointment for designing, one for fitting, and one to pickup
Show up for your pick up appointment on time with your shoes and undergarments. This appointment should take 30 minutes. Some adjustments may be needed and another pick up appointment will be scheduled. If everything looks great on your garment you may take it with you. The other half of your payment will be due at this time. Then all that is left is enjoying your event!
