Know what to expect as the alterations process is outlined for you step by step. From first contact to taking home the finished garment everything is made simple!

Schedule your appointments! You will want to schedule your first fitting appointment for 2 to 3 months before the event date. Please schedule one appointment per dress you plan on bringing- there is no additional charge. If possible schedule them back to back. If you schedule your appointment for more than 3 months before your event date you run the risk of your size fluctuating after your alterations are finished. After you schedule your fitting please immediately schedule your pick up appointment 2-3 weeks after your fitting appointment. The pick up appointment assures the sewing can be done by your wedding date! You may be notified at the fitting appointment of a 20% rush fee if you need the alterations done in less than a week, and/or a 10% overbooking fee if we need to schedule a pickup outside our availability.
Prepare for your appointment by purchasing the shoes you will be wearing the day of the event. Also decide what undergarments, slips, or shapers you will be wearing. If you are not sure then bring a few returnable items to try on with the dress. We have found that most women do not need a bra as bra cups can be added. If your dress is fitted through the hips you will want a shaper(spanx). These can all effect fit and the length of your dress so make sure you bring them to your appointment. If you don’t bring shoes (exact or approximate) an additional fee may be applied for the extra appointment needed. A full additional appointment is $60 and $30 for a hem pinning.
Show up for your appointment on time with your shoes, dress, and undergarments. If you are going to be late, please give us a call or text! If you need to reschedule you may do so through the link at the bottom of your confirmation email. We will try to fit you in at our next available appointment. Appointments should take 30 min for a special occasion dress and 1 hour for a wedding gown. All pricing will be explained during your fitting and you will be given a breakdown of all the alterations. We will also confirm with you the pick up time that you previously set.
Show up for your pick up appointment on time with your shoes and undergarments. This appointment should take 15 minutes for dresses and 30 minutes for wedding gowns. Some adjustments may be needed and another pick up appointment will be scheduled. If everything looks great on your garment you may take it with you. The total will be due at this time. You may pay with either cash or check (preferred), credit card or paypal. Then all that is left is to enjoy your event!
